Paper Tiger 50^th Nationals

New Plymouth: 31 Dec 2017 – 6 Jan 2018

New Plymouth is hosting this event, however this is your Nationals so we are asking for your help.

• Book leave now. Make it the biggest ever! We would like as many boats and sailors as possible to attend. This is going to be a celebration Nationals!
• Tell us what you think or what you wish to be included
• Spead the word to ex-sailors you know who may wish to come along, even if only for the first weekend.
• Regional Reps: please contact past sailors in your region and encourage them to attend
• We are delighted that Ron Given has registered his interest in attending. We will extend invitations to past champions, legends and old salts of the class and anyone with close ties to the PT over the years
• Please start collecting memorabilia – photos, articles, results, newspaper items, regatta shirts, stories, Tiger Rags. We will be calling for these during the year
• Find all your old “PT junk” – prize for the oldest/most interesting piece.

Programme

Sun 31 Dec            Registration and Measurement, Social afternoon and activities, Meal and New Year’s Eve function @ NPYC

Mon 1 Jan              Social day and Invitation race - Round the Islands; 17.30 regatta briefing followed by food.

(The idea is that over this weekend there is time for celebration, catch up with sailors past and present, family fun time and perusing of displays/boats/memorabilia and the odd party!)

Tues 2 Jan            3 Races

Wed   3 Jan           3 Races

Thurs 4 Jan          Fixed lay day, possibly some organised activities

Fri 5 Jan                  3 Races  -  BBQ and AGM

Sat 6 Jan                2 Races  -  19.30 Prize-giving Dinner

Sun 7 Jan               Breakfast somewhere 

As our planning progresses, we will keep you informed but enough for now.
